About Us
Our Story
Tomorrow The World was founded in 2011 to meet the demands of small businesses for cost-effective exhibitor packages at overseas trade shows. Exhibiting individually, or as part of a group pavilion, this support enabled companies to explore new business opportunities from branded European trade shows, as well as their spin-out editions launching in Asia, Middle East and South America.
With proven expertise in export sales and marketing we also assist companies with general export development and smaller projects, such as writing copy for award and bid applications. Building on our expertise in event management we also act as full-service Secretariat for international conferences as well as organising and hosting smaller industry and themed networking and focus groups
Our passion lies in enabling companies to spend their valuable time on what they are good at. We therefore offer cost-effective packages of practical guidance and support for those tasks that continually lurk in your "pending" tray.We are always coming up with new ideas so please take a look at our What We Do, Project Gallery and News & Blogs pages and sign up to our e-newsletter so we can keep you updated!
Our Founder
Displaying creative and entrepreneurial talent from the age 5 by selling decorated jam jars filled with rose petals and water to neighbours - so they would have something nice to smell - Tricia has since transferred this talent for idea creation to support businesses in achieving their objectives.
Her career, spanning over 25 years in international sales and marketing, started immediately after graduating with BCom (Hons) from the University of Birmingham. Initially travelling extensively for German companies, where her native English language was deemed handy for building export business, Tricia then moved to export roles within UK companies with a specialist focus on German speaking markets.
Reducing her travel commitments after becoming a mum, Tricia was then engaged by the UK's Department for International Trade (formerly TPUK and UKTI) delivering support as an International Trade Advisor both for companies in England's North West and in a specialist role for national projects. On setting up Tomorrow The World to focus on exhibitions, events and niche business solutions, Tricia continued to serve the DIT for several years under a part-time contract before moving on. She still enjoys enviable global connections.
Having completing a Masters degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Manchester, Tricia builds an ethical, conflict-sensitive, "business for peace" approach into her work of assisting businesses to develop the know-how, connections and marketing mix to grow profitable sales internationally.
Tricia regularly attends events as guest speaker and panel member as well as joining judging panels for awards or grant applications.
